FAQs — Individual Therapy in North Carolina
Is Individual therapy effective?
Yes. Individual therapy can help you understand your thoughts and emotions, heal from past experiences, and develop coping skills. At Evolve Counseling, our personalized approach supports lasting growth, emotional balance, and resilience.
Do I have to live in Charlotte and surrounding areas to receive services?
No. While we serve many clients both In-person and virtual for Charlotte, virtual therapy is available to individuals, couples, children and teens located anywhere in North Carolina.
Is therapy secure and confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is a top priority. All sessions—in-person or virtual—are conducted in a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment. Therapists are mandated reporters, which means we must report if a client is in immediate danger to themselves or others, or if there is suspected child abuse or neglect. Your therapist will explain these limits at the start of therapy.
How many session will I need?
A: The number of sessions depends on your goals, challenges, and progress. Some clients see meaningful improvement in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. Your therapist will work with you to create a personalized plan.
Do I need to attend every session?
Ideally, regular attendance supports progress, but scheduling can be flexible. For couples or family sessions, both parties are encouraged to attend, but individual sessions can be scheduled as needed.
